Welcome to Week 12 of The Wild Robot Study Guide, Chapters 67 – 80.
As we approach the final week of our book study of The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, be prepared for a shocking and surprising ending that might be upsetting for some. This is a time to slow down and experience the full range of emotions that come with Roz’s journey and the unexpected twist in her adventure.
In addition to reading, this week’s study guide includes a few light activities to help you and your kids reflect on the story as a whole. Kids will be summarising the story based on picture prompts, engaging in discussion questions to explore their thoughts and feelings about the book, and exploring Roz’s character development throughout the story. There is also suggested craft activities to bring the story to life: creating robot masks, making nature collages, and building robot figures.
I truly hope you and your children have enjoyed reading this book and have found the activities in this study guide beneficial and engaging.
It’s always a bitter-sweet moment when a book comes to and end, however, you will be glad to know that there is a second and third volume of the Wild Robot series!
