Times Table Practice Mat #3. These times table worksheets are different in format than the previous two times table mats posted. This set gives students a chance to really give their times table knowledge a workout.
It has different activities requiring slightly different ways of applying their multiplication knowledge.
One of the activities included are multiplication wheels. These are a great way to apply the connections between the inverse relationship between multiplication and division facts. If this is the first time the student has come across this explain how to do it.
Students multiply the number in the centre of the wheel by the number in the inner wedge of the circle and write the answer in the blank outer wedge of the circle.
If the number in the inner wedge is missing, students divide the number in the outer wedge by the number in the centre of the wheel and write the answer in the clank inner wedge of the circle.
There is also a triangle fact family activity which will get students to visualise the inverse relationship between multiplication and division. This activity will increase the connection between multiplication and division and improve recall of related multiplication and division facts.
Answers included.
I hope this helps some of you out!
